Daniel Sorensen caught Kansas City's eye because of his special team skills as an undrafted rookie in 2014. But he's developing into a reliable defender and he's been one of the Chiefs' best players today as they lead the Saints 21-7 at halftime. The Chiefs are comfortable using Sorensen as a spare safety in passing situations because of his instincts and ball skills. He has a touchdown on a 48-yard interception return, a sack of Drew Brees and an open field tackle that forced a New Orleans punt.

Ben Goessling ESPN Staff Writer

All three Vikings turnovers have been attributable to their protection issues. They've tried moving Jake Long, T.J. Clemmings and Jeremiah Sirles around at tackle today, but they haven't been able to create a clean pocket for Sam Bradford, who's fumbled twice and thrown an interception when he was hit.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco shows no signs of an injured shoulder, averaging 14.7 yards per completion as Baltimore leads, 16-14, at halftime. Special teams is carrying Ravens with three Justin Tucker field goals and Chris Moore's fumble recovery for TD off mishandled snap by punter.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

It was an eventful first half for the Jets, who trail the Ravens, 16-14. Geno Smith's hard-luck history with injuries continued. He left with a second-quarter knee injury, resulting in the return of Ryan Fitzpatrick -- four days after he was benched. Fitzpatrick provided a spark, leading a touchdown drive on his first series. It never fails; the Jets' quarterback situation always provides drama. Welcome to the last 40 years.

Redskins corner Josh Norman hasn't covered Marvin Jones on every play, but it has been quite often – and it's been effective. Jones, who has been targeted 47 times this year – most on the Lions -- has yet to be targeted. Again, Norman's physical jams off the line have made a difference.

John Keim ESPN Staff Writer

Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson said he was quite happy being involved early last week. He can't say the same today. He has no catches in the first half vs. Detroit. Neither does teammate Pierre Garcon. That won't go over well with either player.

Incredible catch by A.J. Green on a last-play-of-the-half Hail Mary from Andy Dalton. Green reached out with one hand as he fell to snag the ball and give the Bengals a 21-10 lead. Everyone knew the play was coming. The Bengals still scored.

James Walker ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi has 99 yards rushing in the first half. He has has 303 rushing yards in the past six quarters.

Katherine Terrell ESPN Staff Writer

A.J. Green is unbelievable. He makes juggling catch in the end zone with at least three defenders draped all over him for a 48-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass by Andy Dalton. Green essentially tipped the ball to himself. The Bengals go into the half up 21-10

Bills safety Aaron Williams (head/neck) is officially out for the game.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick led the team to a go-ahead TD drive on his first series. He went 4-for-4 for 46 yards, including a 13-yard TD pass to Matt Forte. Sound familiar? A year ago, Fitzpatrick replaced an injured Geno Smith (see: IK Enemkpali) and led the Jets to a 10-6 record.

Points are almost non-existent in Detroit on Sunday as both the Lions and Washington have been unable to finish drives, leading to a 3-3 tie. Even the kickers have been off, as both teams have missed a field goal. The most concerning thing for the Lions, though, has to be the health of Darius Slay, who left in the second quarter with a hamstring injury.

49ers QB Colin Kaepernick will make his first home start of the season today at Levi's Stadium against Tampa Bay. Coach Chip Kelly wants to see more consistency from Kaepernick after a strong first half and poor second half last week in Buffalo.

Bills say Aaron Williams is questionable to return with head and neck injury.

Mike Rodak ESPN Staff Writer

Bills safety Aaron Williams was escorted by trainers and doctors directly to the locker room after remaining on the ground for several minutes. Williams took a hard hit from Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry, who launched himself into Williams while blocking for Jay Ajayi.

Katherine Terrell ESPN Staff Writer

Andy Dalton stayed poised in a collapsing pocket to find a wide open Brandon LaFell for a 44-yard touchdown. Bengals take the lead over the Browns again, 14-10. LaFell has really been solid these last few games. Bengals have raved about him.

Adam Teicher ESPN Staff Writer

Quarterback Alex Smith has been taking more than his usual share of shots down the field and he was finally rewarded with a 38-yard touchdown throw to Tyreek Hill to give the Chiefs a 21-7 lead. The Chiefs feel comfortable letting Smith take the time for deep throws because they're protecting him well.

Mike Rodak ESPN Staff Writer

Jarvis Landry launched himself into Bills safety Aaron Williams, who remains down on the field and being tended to by trainers. Landry has his helmet off and is standing and watching Williams.

Titans have done well holding down good receivers this year. Until today. With 7:06 left in the second quarter, T.Y. Hilton has four catches for 90 yards and a TD.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri's 28-yard field tied him with former Colts kicker Mike Vanderjagt for most consecutive field goals made in NFL history at 42. Vinatieri has not missed a field goal since Week 2 of the 2015 season.

Now that Kevin Hogan has taken a snap, the Browns have used six quarterbacks this season: Robert Griffin III, Josh McCown, Cody Kessler, Charlie Whitehurst, Terrelle Pryor and Hogan.

Jets QB Geno Smith is being examined on the trainers table by doctors. He went down awkwardly on a third-down sack. Ryan Fitzpatrick is warming up.
