Let us now praise Mike Gundy's mullet

It has "swag," "mojo" and maybe the magic to bring Oklahoma State wins. It's Mike Gundy's mullet. With a big game ahead, where does the business end and the party begin? You know the answer.

Jets DE Mo Wilkerson on the passing of former teammate Joe McKnight (statement via Jets): "It's tragic what happened to Joe. I'm definitely upset and really hurt. He was a brother to me more than a teammate. I enjoyed the time when he was here and getting to know him as a person. I think it's going to hurt his son the most and that's what is really bothering me – knowing that a kid will have to grow up without his dad. I have my own kids and know how they make me feel. Just being around Joe, he always loved talking about his son and the time that they spent together."

Someone else, or something else, is here awaiting LeBron James' arrival

There is a crowd of about 50 reporters, cameramen awaiting LeBron James' arrival in the tunnel. Never seen anything like this. Not even for Finals games.

Padres newly acquired Pedro Avila is a 5-11 RHP with a 95 mph fastball (without much downward plane) but has an above average curve ball when it's working. A top 25-30 type prospect in a strong Nationals farm system. The Padres deal means Austin Hedges becomes their starting catcher.

Jim Bowden ESPN Senior Writer

Nationals acquire Derek Norris from the Padres in a trade for RHP Pedro Avila, a 19 year old right-handed pitcher. Norris now back where it all started for him when he was drafted by the Nationals in the 4th round of the 2007 Draft and later used to acquire Gio Gonzalez in a trade with Oakland. Padres GM AJ Preller continues his signature trading for prospects with high ceilings but high risk high reward because of how far they are from the big leagues. The acquisition of Norris probably means Ramos won't be back with Nationals. Washington now will turn their attention back to trying to trade for Andrew McCutchen (or another bat) and trying to sign free agent closers like Mark Melancon and Kenley Jansen

Pretty big blow to the Rams, with receiver Tavon Austin doubtful for Sunday. He did not practice all week because of a chest injury. If he doesn't go, expect more snaps for rookie Pharoh Cooper, who has a similar skillset. DE Robert Quinn also didn't practice all week while in concussion protocol and is questionable. Rams coach Jeff Fisher said it popped up Monday, not during the game. LG Rodger Saffold (hand), C Tim Barnes (foot) and backup OL Andrew Donnal (hip) were limited Friday and are all questionable.

Seahawks safety Earl Thomas and CB DeShawn Shead are not listed on the injury report, meaning they should be ready to play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers after having missed last week's game with hamstring injuries. Defensive end Michael Bennett (knee) is questionable. He was limited in Thursday's practice but was a full participant Wednesday. WR Paul Richardson has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Running back Troymaine Pope (ankle) is questionable with an ankle injury.

Cardinals WR John Brown is questionable for Sunday's game against Washington. He went through 12 to 15 plays during Friday's practice, coach Bruce Arians said, and his cramping, the result of him carrying the sickle-cell trait, didn't reoccur. Arians said the team is carefully monitoring how many consecutive snaps Brown gets to keep his oxygen levels under control.
