Absolutely devastated hearing about Jose. Thoughts and prayers go to his family, friends, and Marlins org.

The Vikings had no issues getting into Bank of America Stadium on Sunday morning; they stayed out in the suburbs on Saturday night, away from protests in Charlotte, and are going through warmups like they normally would, before Sam Bradford's second start at QB.

Just crushing, devastating news about the death of Jose Fernandez. He was the most exciting pitcher in the game, with the unreal stuff only a handful of pitchers have ever possessed, and matched that with an infectious enthusiasm, energy and love for the game. He'll be throwing some nasty sliders up there against Babe Ruth and friends in the eternal game.

I have circled most of Bank of America Stadium. Feels like fewer people for this time of the morning on game day but all is peaceful.

Panthers players arriving at Bank of America Stadium by bus. No issues getting in . Tight end Greg Olsen was among the first off the bus. Many players typically drive their personal cars to the stadium on game day. Police escorted the bus in today.

Jose Fernandez was a superstar on and off the field. His passion for the game equaled his passion for life. His high energy, passion, attitude and impact for the game will be missed. His love and respect for the game could not be matched. My prayers and condolences to his family, baseball family, friends and fans. May he Rest In Peace. He will be missed

Before kickoff vs. Browns, Dolphins will be holding a moment of silence for former Marlins P Jose Fernandez.

NFL

Jerry Crasnick ESPN Senior Writer

Anything we say in reaction to the news of Jose Fernandez's death seems trivial compared to the magnitude of his loss. He was obviously an amazing pitcher with Hall of Fame potential. But I've been doing this for almost 30 years, and I can only recall a handful of ballplayers who were as naturally vibrant or charismatic. This is just so difficult to understand or accept.

All is quiet around Bank of America Stadium so far amidst reports there could be protests here before the Panthers face the Vikings. Team officials are confident their new security measures will create a safe environment for the players and fans.

Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee, foot) is expected to be on a snap count against the Chiefs, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. It means he could be limited to third downs and red zone. They could use him as a decoy, hoping he draws coverage away from Eric Decker and Quincy Enunwa. It'll also mean more snaps for rookie Jalin Marshall. Weather may not be as much of a factor as initially thought. Any rain (it's sunny now) is expected to stop a few hours before the 4:25 ET kickoff.

Bills WR Sammy Watkins will not play today vs. Cardinals because of lingering foot soreness, source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Watkins had his foot stepped on during a walkthrough practice this week, Rex Ryan said Friday. That's a big blow to new OC Anthony Lynn, whose top wideouts are expected to be Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin and Greg Salas -- and Salas hurt his groin in Thursday's practice.
