Allen Robinson fantasy owners have to like the targets today. Robinson is up to nine targets already in the first half and just caught a TD pass in the red zone off the boot action. Would like to see more explosive plays for Robinson (5 receptions, 39 yards, 1 TD), but the Jags are making him a focus of the game plan.

Mike DiRocco ESPN Staff Writer

I get the feeling that Allen Robinson purged a lot of frustration when he threw that ball into the stands after that TD catch. First time he's caught a TD pass this season.

Ty Montgomery's heads-up play to get a Lions kickoff return ruled out of bounds is clearly taught within the Packers' program. Randall Cobb did the same thing during a game in 2012. The play takes advantage of an NFL rule that says "a ball that is in player possession is out of bounds when the runner is out of bounds."

Sterling Shepard is the first wide receiver to manage double-digit fantasy points in his first three career games since Martavis Bryant (2014, Weeks 7-9), and he's only the seventh wide receiver to do it since 1950. The other six: Bryant, Percy Harvin, Billy Howton, Glen Kozlowski, Louis Lipps, Bobby Mitchell and Donte' Stallworth.

Sebastian Janikowski just kicked his way into the NFL record books...again. Janikowski's 52-yard field goal to give the Raiders a 10-3 lead with 8:13 remaining in the second quarter was his record 53rd career FG of at least 50 yards, breaking a tie with Jason Hanson. This is Janikowski's 17th NFL season after being Oakland's first-round draft pick in 2000.

A few plays after Adam Jones' fumbled punt, I noticed this banner hanging up in Paul Brown Stadium. Says "fumbles strictly prohibited."

Lots said about Aaron Rodgers' slump this week. So far, so good Sunday: 8-12 passing for 130 yards and three TDs.

It's so hot and humid that the Panthers have brought out screens to shade players. Was in the high 80s at kickoff.

It's an ankle injury for Jared Cook, according to the Packers. So even if it's the same foot he had surgery on, it might not be related at all.

LeSean McCoy picking up some chunks of yardage on outside runs. Has 66 rushing yards on 5 runs.

Jared Cook is now on his way to the Packers' locker room, riding shotgun in the cart with his right shoe off.

Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin gets his second penalty, this one an illegal block in the back that takes away a long touchdown catch by Fozzy Whittaker. Mistakes continue to keep this one close.

Cam Newton is back in after missing one play for an ankle injury that could have been more serious than it was.

Backup quarterback Derek Anderson is coming in for at least a play. Cam Newton jogs down the sideline. Seems OK.

Cam Newton gets up slow and limping after being tackled awkwardly around his left ankle.

On first play of second quarter, Odell Beckham Jr. turned 2 Redskins DBs around, including Josh Norman. His first catch in 3 targets goes for 26 yards.

Last time the Packers had three TDs in their first three possessions was Week 10 of 2014 against the Bears, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The Packers won that game 55-14.

Mike Sando ESPN Senior Writer

Tough call against the Lions there. The DB was looking back for the ball and did not materially affect the receiver with his hands on him. That's a great example how a rule's implementation can be too severe. Packers 21, Lions 3.

Pat McManamon ESPN Staff Writer

Quite a first quarter for Terrelle Pryor, who started at receiver for the Browns and had six snaps at quarterback. Pryor led the Browns in passing with 26 yards, was second with 14 yards rushing (on two carries) and led the Browns with two receptions for 27 yards.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

When Aaron Rodgers steps up or breaks contain in the red zone, he puts a ton of stress on defensive backs and linebackers to maintain coverage discipline. That allows WRs to separate and it forces zone coverage schemes to break down. Rodgers just hit Jordy Nelson for an eight yard score after finding a crease to step up in the pocket. It's now 14-3 Packers over the Lions in the first quarter.

Redskins CB Bashaud Breeland is out with an ankle injury. Going to make it very difficult to contain Victor Cruz/Sterling Shepard if Josh Norman sticks with Odell Beckham.

Kevin Seifert NFL Nation

I wonder if today will be one of Aaron Rodgers' "Shhhhhhhhh" moments. After a week of public dissection of the Packers' offense, Rodgers has started today's game against the Lions with six completions in eight attempts for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
