Washington QB Jake Browning might be seeing his Heisman Trophy chances fading, but he's not the only guy out of sync in the Huskies passing game. Receiver John Ross has 2 drops and just one catch for three yards. No. 2 receiver Dante Pettis has one catch for nine yards. But that doesn't matter when the running game and defense are humming.

Colorado was holding its ground, until QB Sefo Liufau blinked twice. That pair of interceptions has Washington in firm control of this game at 24-7, even despite a subpar performance from Jake Browning and some John Ross drops.

Anthony Davis said his right shoulder injury was caused by a nudge from a defender on a postup that lingered throughout the first quarter. The Pelicans' training staff worked on the muscle "underneath" his shoulder, Davis said, and it felt good enough to allow him to return after nine minutes of playing time missed. Davis finished with 21 points in 32 minutes, marking the first time he's been held under 30 since Nov. 22, when he played only 19 minutes because of a right knee bruise.

Sefo Liufau is back in the game -- and his first throw is a pick six from UW's Taylor Rapp.

At halftime, this game is a tractor pull that Colorado is not upset with: The Buffs get the ball to open the second half, and they've held Jake Browning to 4-of-12 passing for only 38 yards. But Washington should maintain the upper hand if it can keep running at 5.5 yards per carry.
