The 49ers scored their first points of the second half, a Phil Dawson field goal with 8:08 to play to trim Tampa Bay's lead to 27-17. Given how things have gone since the first quarter, it's hard to imagine the defense getting the needed stops or the offense getting the points needed to put together a comeback, let alone both of those happening in tandem.

Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer

With 11:44 remaining in the fourth quarter, Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount has 109 yards on 19 carries and 2 TDs. Blount is playing his first game in Pittsburgh since the 2014 season when he was a member of the Steelers. His time with the team ended abruptly as he walked off the field before one game ended.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

Melvin Gordon scored his third touchdown of the day on a blown coverage from the Falcons in the deep red zone. Quick throw to the flat from Phillip Rivers. But that shouldn't happen given Gordon's pre-snap alignment. When the RB moves to a wider alignment in the backfield (on the outside leg of the tackle), it should be an automatic alert to the flat route. Chargers are now down 30-27 in the fourth quarter.

Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston is now 5 of 11 targeting Mike Evans in the end zone this season. He was 2 of 15 last year, per ESPN Stats & Info. They've worked to improve their chemistry and it's showing, especially without Vincent Jackson. Mike Evans is playing like a true No. 1 receiver.

Antonio Brown, who rarely misses a play, with a trainer during offensive drive. Appears holding his left hip.

Tom Brady threw a dime to Rob Gronkowski on the seam route for a 36-yard score. Ball on the upfield shoulder. And the route was classic Gronkowski. Vertical release with a quick outside stick move to create separation over the top of the defender. Patriots now up 20-13 over the Steelers in the third quarter.

Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski tied the franchise record with his 68th career touchdown, with a 36-yard scoring grab up the seam in the third quarter. He ties WR Stanley Morgan's record, as he now has 67 receiving TDs and 1 rushing TD.

Eric D. Williams ESPN Staff Writer

Chargers DE Joey Bosa with his second, two-sack performance in just three games. Bosa's tied for the team lead in sacks with Melvin Ingram with four.

Injury bug attacking the 49ers hard here in the third quarter. After losing DT Arik Armstead to a shoulder issue, LB Gerald Hodges, CB Rashard Robinson and LB Aaron Lynch have all departed with various ailments though none have been ruled out to return.

Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer

The momentum of the Patriots-Steelers game swung in the direction of the Steelers on a late-second quarter drop by Patriots receiver Julian Edelman on third down. After the play, the Patriots failed to down a punt at the 6 as it became a touchback. The Steelers drove for a field goal before the half to close to 14-10. The Patriots came out slow at the start of the second half and the Steelers then drove for a field goal to close to 14-13 with 8:44 remaining in the third quarter.

Nick Wagoner ESPN Staff Writer

49ers DT Arik Armstead has been battling a shoulder injury all season and now appears to be in even more pain. He was down on the sideline holding the shoulder and getting more medical attention. His return is questionable.

Tristan H. Cockcroft ESPN Senior Writer

Mike Evans is already more than halfway to his career high of 168 fantasy points through only SIX games, and he's already within 50 of his entire 2015 total.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

That's just Jameis Winston making a play on the TD pass to Mike Evans. Boot scheme with Winston buying some time and keeping his eyes up the field to find his WR. Winston put the throw up high, too. That allowed Evans to go finish the play. The Bucs take a 27-14 lead over the 49ers in the third quarter.

Vaughn McClure ESPN Staff Writer

Falcons might miss Tevin Coleman's explosive ability if he can't return to game after hamstring injury. Coleman with a 30-yard TD run and 64 rushing yards on 8 carries. Devonta Freeman with 5 yards on 5 carries.

Bills confirm that safety Aaron Williams went to the hospital during Sunday's game to take a precautionary MRI after taking a hard hit from Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry. Williams is now traveling back to Buffalo with his team.

Cubs fan in security line at O'Hare letting frantic people jump ahead of him, saying: "All the stress in my life is gone. I'm stress-free."

ESPN Stats and Information

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon has multiple rushing TD in a game for the 3rd time this season. That's tied with David Johnson for most such games in the NFL.

Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer

The Patriots would have been 8-of-8 on third down if not for drops by running back Brandon Bolden and receiver Julian Edelman, as they lead the Steelers 14-10 at the half. Both teams have moved the ball on offense, so this has come down to third down and the red zone situations. The Patriots get the ball to open the second half.

Jeremy Fowler ESPN Staff Writer

Landry Jones came to play. He's got a 98.4 rating on 14-of-19 passing for 179 yards, a score and an interception. Aside from maybe three throws, he's been perfect. Now comes the hard part - Bill Belichick's second-half adjustments.

Mike DiRocco ESPN Staff Writer

Jaguars LB Paul Posluszny says coach Gus Bradley has not lost the locker room, despite the way things unraveled today: "I don't think that's the case. That means I've done a poor job. I have a 'C' on my chest. That's not going to be the case because as players we're not going to allow that."

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

The Bucs overcame a 14-0 deficit to take a 17-14 at halftime. Jameis Winston has had costly mistakes -- he threw an interception and had an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but he atoned for it with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Russell Shepard on third-and-9 with :53 to go in the first half.

Eric D. Williams ESPN Staff Writer

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones has five catches for 107 yards against San Diego's defense and it's only halftime. The Chargers have turned it over twice and look overmatched in this one, Melvin Gordon's two TDs Kept San Diego within shouting distance, trailing 27-17.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

Melvin Gordon fantasy owners continue to cash in on deep red zone carries with the Chargers RB. Gordon is averaging only 2.6 yards per carry versus the Falcons, but he just scored his second TD of the day on three-yard run.
