It was the smallest crowd, in other words, since 2013. Part of the problem is that the Cardinals are eight games below .500 at home and, barring a miracle, about to fall nine games under .500. They trail 15-2 in the eighth inning.
Congrats to the Indians for clinching their first division title since 2007. They did it by dominating the second-place Tigers, beating them in 14 out of 16 games so far. They did with a stellar rotation, a bullpen with the best ERA in the AL, and an offense that is second in the AL in runs. The Indians left no doubt who the best team in the AL Central was.
