Greg Ward Jr.'s second-quarter TD run was his 25th TD run in the last two seasons, most of any FBS QB according to ESPN Stats and Information.

There is only one way to know for sure if the football crosses over the plane of the goal line: Dedicated cameras installed there. The NFL leaves that up to the broadcaster, and it doesn't appear as if the NFL Network had the necessary angle on that kickoff.

A.J. Green on the Bengals' first two possessions: five targets, five receptions, 80 yards, one touchdown. My understanding is that Green is a pretty decent player. Did the Dolphins scout the Bengals at all?

Katherine Terrell ESPN Staff Writer

Last week, A.J. Green said the offense started with him and he needed to set the tone. He's doing so tonight. The drive started after Green went up over Xavien Howard and wrestled the ball away from him for a 51-yard gain. It ended with Green running cleanly into the end zone. Bengals are up 10-7.

Dolphins CB Tony Lippett with the missed tackle on Bengals WR A.J. Green leads to a TD. Cincy leads, 10-7. Miami's corners aren't doing a good job on Green early.

Canada has won its last 24 international games with Sidney Crosby in the lineup, dating back to the 2010 Olympics.

A.J. Green with a great catch deep downfield against the Miami left creamsicle. Should be huge game for Green. No surprise.

I like Dolphins rookie CB Xavein Howard. I think he has a solid future ahead. But leaving him one-on-one already on Bengals WR A.J. Green is not the best idea.

NFL

Dan Graziano ESPN Staff Writer

Not much more CB Xavier Howard could do there. Coverage was good, and he was whacking at AJ Green's arms the way they teach CBs to play the bigger WRs. Green just too good.

They're working on Jeremy Hill's shoulder on the sideline. Jordan Phillips landed on top of him.

That was just the second touchdown the Dolphins scored in the first half all season. To often they got off to a slow start. Not tonight.

Bengals secondary got burned badly last week against the Broncos. Not a good start this week either. Kenny Stills was wide open deep for an easy touchdown to put the Dolphins up 7-0. Took just two plays. Meanwhile, the Bengals offense struggled on its first series.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

Looked like the Bengals expected Dolphins WR Kenny Stills to run the post. Dropped the coverage to the FS. However, when Stills broke back outside to the corner route, there was no help over the top. Easy toss for Ryan Tannehill. That's a bust for the Bengals defense and a 7-0 Miami lead in the first quarter.

James Walker ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill finds WR Kenny Stills on a similar throw they nearly connected on in Week 1 against Seattle. Stills caught it this time for a 74-yard touchdown.

Houston's Ward knifes through UCOnn D

Greg Ward Jr. finds no open receivers and then scrambles 30 yards for a touchdown to put the Cougars on the board in the second quarter against UConn. Houston leads 7-0 on ESPN.

Team Europe robbed of a penalty shot. Then can't convert on the power play. Canada PK remains perfect in World Cup, big part of their World Cup success.

NHL

Sam Khan Jr. ESPN Staff Writer

How much has Greg Ward Jr. progressed as a passer? In the last play of the first quarter, he eluded a sack and had plenty of running room in front of him but decided to stay in the pocket and throw. It didn't work out (he ended up being tackled for a 1-yard gain) but in years past Ward would have taken off after dodging the sack.

As Adam Jones joked the other day, the Orioles are already playing with house money since the computer projections all said they weren't contenders. They're leading the Blue Jays 2-0 through five behind Ubaldo Jimenez, going for his seventh straight solid start. He's at 93 pitches so Buck Showalter won't wait much longer before turning this one over to his bullpen.

Kevin Seifert NFL Nation

Not a big fan of bubble screens with offensive linemen split out to block, as you saw the Bengals try on their second play. Doesn't leave much doubt about where the play is going.
