The Mavs have exercised the 2017-18 option in Justin Anderson's rookie contract, a source said. It was an easy decision for a front office that considers Anderson, who will make $1.6 million next season, a potential long-term core piece. Anderson finished his rookie year strong and will have an increased role this season.

Some good news on the injury front for the Rams today. Their two defensive ends, Robert Quinn and Will Hayes, were full participants. So they'll probably go, barring a setback. Michael Brockers and Trumaine Johnson were held out. Jamon Brown (hand) and Nelson Spruce (calf) were limited.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter said they are looking into why their players have been struggling with a number of soft tissue injuries like hamstring strains. "We've actually been doing a lot of studying on that with our strength staff, our training staff...we're working on it. We've got a database on all these injuries..." He's also talked to other coaches around the league about it.

Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hip) was listed as a limited participant in practice. It would be an upset at this point if he didn't play vs. Rams.

Time to drop Eddie Lacy in redraft leagues. For tonight, Ty Montgomery is the leader for Packers but I still wouldn't force into lineups. Long term James Starks or Knile Davis. In other words, I'm avoiding GB RBs.

The Jets will honor the late Dennis Byrd before Sunday's game at home. There will be a video tribute before the opening kickoff and a moment of silence. Members of Byrd's immediate family will be on the field as honorary captains. His closest former teammates, Paul Frase, Scott Mersereau and Marvin Washington, will be on hand for the tribute. Byrd, 50, was killed last Saturday in a car accident in Oklahoma.

NFL statement on Giants kicker Josh Brown says "In light of the release of these documents yesterday, we will thoroughly review the additional information and determine next steps in the context of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy. We will not be making any comments on potential discipline until that time."

Kevin Seifert NFL Nation

The Josh Brown revelations today demonstrate the difficulty the NFL has in quickly assessing domestic violence allegations and meting out appropriate discipline. As the NFL said in its August statement, Brown's ex-wife did not cooperate with the league investigation and local law enforcement did not provide information that would corroborate reports of additional incidents. Police made the information available Wednesday for the first time. Should the league have waited until then to discipline, allowing Brown to play unpunished in the meantime? Should it have indefinitely suspended Brown until all the facts were in? No perfect answers here.

Kevin Seifert NFL Nation

The Giants' revelation today -- that they hadn't seen PK Josh Brown's journal entries, emails and other evidence of prior domestic violence -- is really important. It provides a legal opening for them and/or the NFL to re-address his status with the team and league beyond the one-game suspension he has already served.
