That looked like the Josh Gordon of 2013. Two receptions, 87 yards, one touchdown.

Saints QB Drew Brees done for the night -- and presumably for the preseason. Finished on high note with 17-yard TD to Willie Snead and went 9-of-12 for 78 yards, 7 points in three drives. Brees had a decent preseason (2 TDs, 1 INT), but his biggest problem was the struggling offensive line play that didn't give him much time in the pocket. Fair to say Brees and his deep group of receivers remain the Saints' best asset by far.

On a night in which it seemed like every Met was turning the clock back, Bartolo Colon reached back to 2002. That year marked the last time Colon had two hits in a game, until Friday night. Colon also matched his longest no-hit bid of the season, taking one 4 1/3 innings.

The Gary Sanchez Story continues to re-write itself. The 23-year-old Yankee rookie catcher has three hits in five innings against the Orioles tonight, including his 10th HR of the season, a 2-run shot that made it 12-1 Yankees. Sanchez' 10 HRs in a month -- actually 22 days so far -- is a Yankees rookie record. He is batting .408.

Tom Brady connects with WR Chris Hogan on a 33-yard touchdown pass up the right side into the end zone on a beautifully thrown ball. The 2-point conversion pass from Brady to WR Aaron Dobson was thrown high and fell incomplete.

David Ortiz has more career doubles than Hank Aaron. Let that sink in for a moment. Ortiz's 625th double, a ground-ruler in the third inning at Fenway, moves him past Aaron and into 10th place on the all-time list.

Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer

Tom Brady's first offensive series lasted four plays and he had one completion, to WR Aaron Dobson (37 yards). A third-down throw to TE Martellus Bennett in the back of the end zone was just a bit high for Bennett to haul in. The Patriots settled for a FG.
