Bryce Harper on Nats rookie sensation Trea Turner: "That's somebody that's super special. I was thinking tonight, imagine if he was up in May, June, and July, or before that. We might have already ran away with this thing. Having him at the top of the lineup, there's nobody like him."

Long snapper displays perfect aim

This is what you call accuracy ... and a lot of trust.

Pat McManamon ESPN Staff Writer

That looked like the Josh Gordon of 2013. Two receptions, 87 yards, one touchdown.

Mike Triplett ESPN Staff Writer

Saints QB Drew Brees done for the night -- and presumably for the preseason. Finished on high note with 17-yard TD to Willie Snead and went 9-of-12 for 78 yards, 7 points in three drives. Brees had a decent preseason (2 TDs, 1 INT), but his biggest problem was the struggling offensive line play that didn't give him much time in the pocket. Fair to say Brees and his deep group of receivers remain the Saints' best asset by far.

On a night in which it seemed like every Met was turning the clock back, Bartolo Colon reached back to 2002. That year marked the last time Colon had two hits in a game, until Friday night. Colon also matched his longest no-hit bid of the season, taking one 4 1/3 innings.

Sanchez' 10 HRs in a month -- actually 22 days so far -- is a Yankees rookie record. He is batting .408.

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is back in the game. Perhaps Ron Rivera just wanted to give Derek Anderson a series with the first team.
