Auburn wins after review nullifies LSU touchdown

The clock ran out on LSU on Saturday -- but only after a replay review showed its winning touchdown came after the clock reached 0.00 -- allowing Auburn to escape with an SEC win without scoring a touchdown.

Looks like Arkansas QB Austin Allen will remain in the game after taking a hard hit early in the second quarter. Allen has a bruised chest muscle. Redshirt freshman Ty Storey took a few warm up throws but has his helmet off still and it looks like Allen's ready to return. Arkansas leads Texas A&M 10-7 with 9:27 remaining in the second quarter.

Les Miles watching that last catch by D.J. Chark in the end zone. "He caught it. That's the game." The only problem was that LSU snapped the ball after time had expired. Heartbreaking loss for Miles and LSU.

Arkansas backup QB Ty Storey is warming up on the sideline for the Razorbacks after starter Austin Allen fell hard after getting hit by Texas A&M linebacker Claude George early in the second quarter. The training staff was examining Allen on the sideline. Will be interesting to see if he'll miss any snaps as a result of that hit.

You know it's going well when ... Baylor QB Seth Russell threw a pass through the hands of WR Lynx Hawthorne, but Ismael Zamora was there to snag it and race 38 yards for a TD. Bears go up 14-7.

Christian McCaffrey was limited to 72 all-purpose yards in the first half, tied for his fewest in the first half of a game since the start of last season. He had 244 all-purpose yards in the first half against UCLA last season (369 total).

Kyle Bonagura ESPN Staff Writer

Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey now ranks No. 5 of the school's all-time rushing list (2,676). He trails Stepfan Taylor (4,300), Darrin Nelson (4,169), Toby Gerhart (3,522) and Brad Muster (3,010). McCaffrey ran for 59 yards on 10 carries in the first half against UCLA.

LSU appears to win with a miraculous D.J. Chark touchdown, but upon further review, the Tigers didn't get the snap off in time, preserving the 18-13 Auburn win.

Even in a game that features Christian McCaffrey and Josh Rosen, there wasn't much that resembled offense in the first half at the Rose Bowl. The teams combined for 267 yards of total offense and the touchdown that provided UCLA's 10-3 lead was the product of a short field. The Bruins have been limited to 2.7 yards per carry (43 yards), while Rosen is 7 of 11 for 77 yards. Still, somehow, it feels like UCLA has been in control.

Big play by Oklahoma State true freshman Tanner Morgan, the long snapper out of Ankeny, Iowa, who jumped on Tony Nicholson's fumble of a punt return at the 5-yard line. Before he fumbled, Nicholson made a poor decision to field Zach Sinor's punt at the 4. The damage? A touchdown for the Cowboys. All tied in Waco.

Marshall has eight quarterback hurries so far on Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Cards' first three opponents had three combined. This is clearly the most pressure Jackson has gotten all season. He's sure to get more next week against the stout Clemson defensive front.

Lamar Jackson with his 10th passing touchdown this season. His 10th last season came in his 11th game. He had 12 all of last season.

Some old problems have popped up to hamper Nebraska in its Big Ten opener -- and the turnovers so far have been extra painful. The Huskers have fumbled on the goal line twice to let Northwestern and its stagnant offense hang around at halftime, though they still took a slim 3-point lead into intermission. Mike Riley won't be happy with the ball security, and the Huskers are surely going to hear plenty about it in the locker room.

Houston freshman WR D'Eriq King just got a hat trick against Texas State: a receiving touchdown, a passing touchdown and now a 99-yard kickoff return touchdown.

Players are returning to the field at McLane Stadium. The resumption is scheduled for 8:14 p.m. CT. Last week, Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer leveraged a two-hour weather delay into success by adjusting his scheme. It might be more difficult tonight with less than two minutes expired in this game. Baylor leads 6-0.

The Orioles' Mark Trumbo hit his 45th home run of the season. Entering today, Trumbo had 1.2 WAR and a 115 OPS+. Before this season, the lowest WAR by a 45-HR hitter was 1.5 by Jose Canseco in 1998, and the lowest OPS+ was 114 by Canseco, in that season. In other words, Trumbo's home runs are carrying almost all of his value as a player.

No. 6 Houston is up 43-3 at the half against Texas State. Greg Ward has been literally unstoppable tonight -- Texas State has not stopped a single UH offensive drive -- and the Cougars' defense is giving up nothing on the ground as usual, allowing 17 rushing yards on 11 attempts. Everything going right for UH tonight.
