Terry Francona on Kyle Schwarber: "I can see why Theo (Epstein) sent a plane for him. I would too."

With Memphis up by three points late, Mike Conley sinks a deep jumper and seals the victory for the Grizzlies over the Timberwolves. Conley finished with a team-high 24 points.

The legend of Kyle Schwarber builds, as the slugger drove in two runs on two hits and scored another as the Cubs beat the Indians 5-1 to even the World Series at 1-1. Not bad for a guy playing his second game since early April. Schwarber now has 10 RBI in 11 career postseason games. Jake Arrieta carried a no-hitter into the sixth, while the Cubs had Cleveland starter Trevor Bauer out of the game in the fourth. We're headed to Wrigley Field for three games over the weekend as one team's march towards history continues.

Darren Rovell ESPN Senior Writer

Before tonight's game started, there were 100 tickets to Game 3 at Wrigley on StubHub for under $2,400. There are now 2.

Davis Finishes off Monster Night

Anthony Davis steals the ball away and lays it in on the other end for his 50th point of the night against the Nuggets. Davis also had 16 rebounds, but New Orleans lost to Denver, 107-102.

Andrew Marchand ESPN Senior Writer

People love to kill teams over rain delays, etc., but MLB deserves credit for being proactive in moving this game up an hour tonight.

Jeremy Lin in his Brooklyn debut: 18 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 28 minutes

D'Angelo Russell is bringing the heat tonight.

Justin Verrier ESPN Staff Writer

Anthony Davis' final line: 50 points (17/34 FG; 16/17 FT), 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals, 4 blocks in 41 minutes. But Pels lose 107-100 to the Nuggets in their opener.

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

Grizzlies 102, Timberwolves 98 (final). Mike Conley scored seven of his team-high 24 points in the final three minutes as Memphis closed with a 16-8 run. Andrew Wiggins led all scorers with 25, but his only points in the fourth quarter came on a pair of free throws with 1.9 seconds remaining.

Myles Turner Punctuates Big Night

Justin Verrier ESPN Staff Writer

Anthony Davis update: 48 points (16/30 FG; 16/17 FT), 15 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals, 4 blocks in 38 minutes. Pels down 100-98 with 2:32 to play.

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

Zach Randolph's Sixth Man of the Year campaign is off to a heck of a start. He has 19 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes. Grizzlies 85, Timberwolves 85 with 5:53 to go in Memphis.

Mike Mazzeo ESPN Staff Writer

The Nets lost 122-117 to the Celtics in their season opener. They made 15 of a franchise-record 44 3-point attempts. Boston shot 53.9 percent from the field. Brooklyn trailed by 23 points in the fourth quarter but used an 18-2 run to come all the way back before Justin Hamilton missed a 3 that could've tied the game late. Brook Lopez struggled, going 1-for-7 from the field. Kenny Atkinson's team played hard, but it will be interesting to see how Lopez, a plodding center, fits into the fast-paced, 3-point heavy equation going forward.

Justin Verrier ESPN Staff Writer

Anthony Davis update: 40 points (13-for-26 FG; 14-for-15 FT), 10 rebounds, 6 steals, 4 assists and 3 blocks in 32 minutes. Pelicans down 85-77 after three quarters at the Big Blender.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

Joel Embiid just took a spill after being fouled while in transition toward the basket by Semaj Christon. Sixers fans held their collective breath until Embiid got up and was OK. He made both free throws and has nine points, seven rebounds and one block in 14 minutes so far. Embiid will play 20 minutes in his debut.
