Hardy, Vincent bring women's boxing back to national stage

On Aug. 21, undefeated rivals Shelly Vincent and Heather Hardy entered the ring for a 10-round title bout in Coney Island. But beyond a belt, both fighters wanted to show that women's boxing could be prime-time entertainment.

Bill O'Brien gave rookie nose tackle D.J Reader the chance to end practice 20 minutes early if he could catch a punt. Reader came through and the whole team cheered loudly after he made the catch. O'Brien said picked someone he has confidence in to catch the punt, but knew there was chance he may drop it. "He did a good job," O'Brien said. "He's had a good camp. He's a young player, so that's usually what I try to do there."
