The 49ers made three more roster moves Sunday as they move closer to the league-mandated limit of 75 by Tuesday. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Niners dealt OL Brandon Thomas to the Detroit Lions for WR Jeremy Kerley. Kerley gives the Niners some depth at receiver and a potential replacement in the slot if Bruce Ellington's hamstring injury turns out to be serious. The 49ers also released OL Erik Pears and TE Busta Anderson. They now stand at 77 players on the roster and need to make two more moves before Tuesday's deadline.

Chris Buescher, who entered the race at Michigan with a 13-point edge on 31st-place David Ragan, is running last in the field Sunday as his engine is not running at full power. There are three races, including Michigan, left in the regular season. Buescher needs to be in the top-30 in points to be eligible to make the Chase with his win from Pocono earlier this month. Ragan is running 32nd with 160 laps left in the race.

VIKINGS 12, CHARGERS 10 (HALFTIME): Though he was under more pressure than the Vikings probably would have liked, Teddy Bridgewater had an impressive first half in his return from the sore shoulder that kept him out last Thursday against the Seahawks. Bridgewater went 12-for-16 for 161 yards and a touchdown, also juking his way to a 22-yard run. Jerick McKinnon had a solid half, too, gaining 56 yards on eight carries, and Bridgewater found Stefon Diggs five times for 71 yards. The Vikings' concerns from the first half are familiar ones: Bridgewater was sacked three times, and Melvin Gordon scored the first touchdown at U.S. Bank Stadium on a 39-yard run after Audie Cole went for Philip Rivers on a blitz and Michael Griffin missed Gordon in the open field.

Zobrist says he was actually given the "suggestion" from Joe Maddon to bunt for a hit and once he got down 0-1 he figured he had a better chance of getting one down then swinging away.
