Bilko back on the bike after injury

Since tearing his ACL after winning a gold medal in X Games Freestyle and a silver in X Games Best Trick in 2009, Blake "Bilko" Williams is back on the bike and looking forward to a productive and successful 2010. After six months of rehabilitation in his homeland of Australia, Bilko recently remounted his bike and started hitting the ramps again, getting up to speed in no time flat.

Bilko's first show back took place January 17th at a public demo at the 2010 Mulwala Extreme Ski Festival in Victoria, Australia.

"It was good to spend some time at home over the break, but even better to really get back into riding," said Williams. "I was a guest rider for the Showtime team at the Mulwala Extreme Ski Festival on the weekend which was a lot of fun, there were heaps of fans out there and it was a great event for a small country town."

Bilko is heading back to the states January 21st to get ready for the upcoming 2010 FMX season.

"I'm heading back to the US on Friday where I'll be doing some appearances for sponsors including Monster Energy and Fox over the next few Supercross events. I'll be getting in as much practice as possible while I'm there, riding alongside Nate Adams at his compound."

Bilko's first event will be the Red Bull X-Fighters Ranking Session, which will be taking place in February in an undisclosed location in Southern California.

"This will be my first X fighters event, let alone series, so my goal is to be top three and build on that throughout the competition. I'll be up against some very good riders so I'll be looking to be consistent and keep working hard on new tricks."
