Nothing ruins a good day quite like a pair of goggles so fogged you can't tell whether you're skiing or snorkling. The eyewear wizards over at Scott have done their best to prevent this scenario on the Tom Wallisch Signature Goggle, which comes with a thought-out ventilation system and an anti-fog lens treatment.
WHAT IT IS:
Wallisch is the first to admit it: His new signature Scott goggles aren't much different than a model already in the Scott line: "The goggle is pretty much identical to the Scott Fix frame," Wallisch says. "Much of my input was just on the style and graphics of the goggle." That said, here's what you'll find on the Fix: a fog-free, natural-light lens that's spherically shaped to increase your peripheral vision and three layers of face foam to keep the goggles securely in place. "The Fix frame performs extremely well -- it's got great vision and it's super easy and comfortable to wear," Wallisch says. "For me the most essential aspect of any goggle is visibility and being able to see all around you. The Fix is great for this."
WHY IT RULES:
And here's what you'll find specifically on these signature goggles: graphics based on the pretzel trick Wallisch is known for and an aqua-colored frame picked out by the Pretzel Man himself. Says Wallisch, "The graphic is of things that inspire me, and things that I feel represent me." As a bonus, the goggles come with a signature bandana. "Wearing a bandana over my face on the hill to prevent sun/wind burn and add style is something I've always done," Wallisch says.
WHERE TO FIND IT:
