SAN DIEGO -- Patriots starting safety Patrick Chung was knocked out of Sunday's game in the first half with a knee injury. He did not return and one person who saw him walking out of the locker room after the game described his gait as stiff.
When asked about the status of his knee, Chung told reporters from the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, "It's all right."
That could mean a lot of things, and Chung's status will be closely followed in the coming days. He entered Sunday's game in San Diego having played more than any safety on the roster.
In his absence, six-year veteran James Sanders stepped in to the starting lineup next to Brandon Meriweather. Rookie Sergio Brown bumped up to the third spot on the depth chart.
