Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker, also a first-round MLB draft pick, has until midnight on Monday to sign a contract with the Colorado Rockies.
“The contract [negotiations] have not distracted Kyle at all," coach Dabo Swinney said, according to the team's practice report. "He is a guy who has the ability to focus. When he is on the football practice field, he is all football. He has done very well. He might have been a little rusty the first day, but he has improved every day. And he has shown great leadership.”
Swinney said he might adjust Parker’s practice schedule on Monday, the final day of negotiations. Clemson has two practices scheduled that day.
