Hokies' o-line key

LANDOVER, Md. -- When Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor has had time to throw, he's been effective. When the blocks are made, Ryan Williams is certainly good enough to take advantage of them. We saw flashes of that on Virginia Tech's lone scoring drive. The Hokies' offensive line has to play better and more consistently in this game if Virginia Tech is going to continue to move the ball.

Field position has also been big in this game for Boise State, as the Hokies' kickoff went out of bounds to start the Broncos at the 40. They capitalized with a field goal and have taken a 20-7 lead. For Virginia Tech's special teams to be part of the problem can't sit well with Frank Beamer.
