Virginia Tech, once again, is the best team in the Coastal Division, and it left no doubt about that in Saturday's road win against Miami.
The Hokies clinched the division title for the fourth time in six years and have now won nine straight games heading into the regular-season finale against rival Virginia. They made it through the toughest stretch of their conference schedule and yes, I stand corrected.
Miami turned the ball over six times -- three fumbles, three interceptions -- but none was more costly than Stephen Morris' interception, thrown to Jayron Hosley in the fourth quarter. It led to the game-deciding touchdown. It was only a matter of time before Morris made a freshman mistake, and that was a big one.
This Virginia Tech team is one of the toughest in the country right now and would give any opponent in the Orange Bowl fits. With the way the Hokies have closed out this season, no other team in the division deserves to be there more.
