Virginia fans often ask if their program can compete with Virginia Tech for the top in-state recruits.
Just ask four-star prospect Demetrious Nicholson, who on Wednesday announced his intent to play for Mike London. Nicholson is the third member of the ESPN 150 to join London's 2011 class. The third. That's huge, especially considering that's more than any other program in the Coastal Division has right now (Virginia Tech 0, Miami 1, Georgia Tech 1, Duke 0, UNC 2).
Nicholson, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound receiver/defensive back, had a final five of North Carolina, Stanford, Virginia, Michigan and Virginia Tech.
For London to beat those schools and keep the talent in his backyard speaks volumes about what this staff is capable of as far as recruiting.
