It wasn't pretty, but at least I was able to come away with a winning record this bowl season -- unlike the ACC.
I finished with a 5-4 record in the ACC bowl predictions, but the four losses weren't all because I doubted the ACC. With the exception of Florida State's win over South Carolina, I actually gave the ACC too much credit this year. You would think Georgia Tech could beat Air Force, Clemson could beat South Florida and Miami could beat Notre Dame.
Of the four games I struck out on, the most surprising outcome was Georgia Tech's loss to Air Force. The Yellow Jackets had their issues this past season, but considering Paul Johnson's familiarity with Air Force, and the amount of time the players had to prepare for that game, more was expected.
Apparently, expectations were a little too high.
