Former Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor is determined to prove he can play the same position in the NFL, but he might increase his stock over the next few days if he opens up to the possibility of playing wherever his athleticism takes him.
Todd McShay is tracking the Shrine Game practices, and Taylor, who is playing for the East team, isn't likely to stray out of his comfort zone. Maybe he should. McShay wrote that it won't hurt his draft stock if he doesn't, but it could help him if he does:
"As a quarterback and only a quarterback, right now he's clearly a Day 3 pick. But as long as a team knows he is willing to commit to contributing in other areas ... should quarterback not work out, I could see Taylor coming off the board as early as Round 3."
