ACC's lunchtime links

It's only Monday, but we'll make it ...

  • Has Georgia Tech replaced Georgia as the best team in the state? Well, the Yellow Jackets had the edge last fall, and Paul Johnson says the offense will be even better this year.

  • Has the NCAA and FSU entered a "scheme" to evade Florida's open records laws? Several media outlets have hired lawyers to find out.

  • David Cutcliffe has brought something besides a few wins to Duke football -- hope -- but that alone won't cut it for Cut.

  • So the NFL didn't come calling. That's OK for former Miami linebacker Glenn Cook, because MLB called, and Cook is working on a minor league contract deal.

  • A third-string offensive lineman at Maryland decided to transfer. The Terps are still waiting for some of the offensive linemen in that class to produce something, and they'll need to start this fall.
