COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- I'm sitting on the steps in the shade of Maryland's baseball "trailer," and I'm sweating. It's hot, muggy and disgusting out. Ralph Friedgen has already zipped by in his red golf cart, and if I were him, I wouldn't get out of it today. The humidity is so thick it feels like you're pushing sleds to get from one end of campus to the other.
In other words, it's a perfect day for practice.
The Terps are slowly filing over to the practice field, where the media is allowed to watch only the first five periods. We're not, however, allowed in until after Maryland is done stretching (as if doing their routine "Terp Jacks" holds the key to beating Clemson).
So I'll watch practice for a bit before finding a place to chill out for our live blogging session from 4-6 p.m. ET. Check it out.
