Another big score for Clemson coach Dabo Swinney.
Chad Kelly, a four-star quarterback who is ranked the nation's No. 5 quarterback and No. 80 overall in the ESPNU 150, committed to Clemson on Thursday. Kelly, the nephew of former Bills quarterback and Hall of Famer Jim Kelly, threw for 2,159 yards and 24 touchdown passes last year as a junior at Buffalo (N.Y.) Saint Joseph's Collegiate Institute. He also rushed for over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns.
"I mainly picked Clemson because of the atmosphere," Kelly told Jamie Newberg of ESPN Recruiting. "I knew Day One from my first visit. Of all the schools I saw it had the best atmosphere, a family atmosphere. From every coach to all the players and to people in the community, it was perfect for me. I just fell in love with Clemson."
