COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Terps are having their way with Miami's depleted defense. Quarterback Danny O'Brien, save for one poor decision which resulted in an interception in the end zone, has looked poised and prepared. After one quarter, Maryland already has 12 first downs compared to Miami's three. They're using a bunch of screen passes effectively, the running backs are catching the ball, and O'Brien completed 13 of 17 passes for 137 yards in the new no-huddle, up-tempo offense. It looks like more of what I had expected to see out of Clemson early on against Troy.
It's really starting to rain now, and with two turnovers already in the first quarter, there's a good chance they'll determine this game.
