Maryland uniforms still making a statement

I think I've written more about the Terps' uniforms than the team this season. Sorry, guys, but they're stealing the show. And turning a profit in more ways than one. Call them brilliantly ugly.

Now this release from the school:

Due to overwhelming demand, Maryland will make 10 helmets and 10 jerseys from the Maryland Pride collection, worn Monday by the football team, available for auction. The process opens Friday morning on www.umterps.com. Bidding will start at $500 for the helmets and $200 for the jerseys. Proceeds will benefit Maryland Athletics.

Can they use them to buy new unis?

Bidding on the 20 items will end at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19.

Randy Edsall said the Terps have at least 32 different combinations. The latest will be difficult to top.
