FSU's Hopkins ACC's lone award finalist tonight

Florida State kicker Dustin Hopkins is the ACC's lone representative tonight among the finalists at “The Home Depot College Football Awards Show” on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.

Hopkins is looking to become Florida State's third Lou Groza Award winner. No other school has earned the distinction more than the program infamous for its Wide Right history. Sebastian Janikowski won in 1998 and 1999 and Graham Gano earned the honor in 2008.

Hopkins leads the ACC in scoring (8.7 points per game) and field goals made (20). The junior from Houston, Texas has converted all 44 of his extra point attempts, extending his school record for successful conversions to 130, which is the second-longest streak in ACC history. He was a first-team all-conference selection.
