Two quick notes: Updated version

Posted by ESPN.com's Heather Dinich

ACC coaches will join thousands of football coaches nationwide on Saturday to raise awareness and research funding for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the most prolific genetic killer diagnosed in children.

Every ACC coach, except for Virginia because the Cavs are off, will wear a "Coach to Cure MD" logo patch. Fans may donate to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research online at www.CoachtoCureMD.org.

More than 5,000 coaches at approximately 350 colleges and universities playing in 250 plus games across the country will be on the wearing the patch this week.

Another quick note from the Coastal Division:

Former Miami Hurricanes Bennie Blades, Eddie Dunn and Steve Walsh will all be inducted into Miami's Ring of Honor during halftime of Miami's home game against Clemson on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Land Shark Stadium.

The selection of UM's Ring of Honor members is determined by the athletic director Kirby Hocutt and coach Randy Shannon, in conjunction with an anonymous advisory committee.

Criteria used in the selection process include athletic achievements at UM and at the professional level, commitment and loyalty to the continued success of the university and its athletic department and a personal commitment to courage, fortitude, honesty and integrity.
