FSU, Clemson in top 10 in coaches poll

Florida State and Clemson finished the season ranked in the top 10 of the final coaches poll released Tuesday morning, capping a year of great success for both programs.

The Seminoles (12-2) were ranked No. 8 and Clemson (11-2) No. 9 in the coaches poll. In the AP Top 25, Florida State ended the year ranked No. 10 and Clemson No. 11.

This marks the first time Florida State has finished the year as a top-10 team since 2003, when it finished No. 10 in the coaches poll. The last time Florida State finished as a top-10 team in the AP poll was in 2000.

As for Clemson, this marks the first time since the 1990 season that it has finished in the top 10 in either of the two polls. This is the eighth season that Clemson has finished in the top 10 of at least one poll.
