2012 postseason top 25 players: No. 23

No. 23. Omoregie Uzzi, RG, Georgia Tech

2012 stats: Uzzi helped pave the way for the nation’s No. 4 rushing offense at 311.21 yards per game, tops in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets rushed for more yards than any FBS team since 2008, and ran for over 4,000 yards for the fourth straight season.

Previous ranking: No. 22

Making the case for Uzzi: Running the ball is Georgia Tech’s forte, and Uzzi was at the heart of their success and the anchor of the line. He was the lone senior on Georgia Tech’s offensive line this past season, and he started every game. He was a first-team All-ACC selection by both the media and the league’s 12 coaches. He was the first lineman to represent the school on the all-conference team in back-to-back seasons since center Sean Bedford in 2009 and 2010.
