Maryland doesn't officially join the Big Ten until 2014, but the Terps have already dug into Big Ten territory with this recruiting class, snagging four-star wide receiver Taivon Jacobs from Ohio State's commitment list.
The Forestville, Md., native wanted to stay close to home, and his brother, Levern Jacobs, is already on the Maryland roster, so this flip isn't a complete surprise. He had been an Ohio State commit since July, but his family situation made this an understandable move.
Randy Edsall and his staff are pulling together a solid class, despite a 4-8 finish in 2012, and Jacobs is a big reason why. He is Maryland's fifth four-star recruit to sign today.
