Georgia Tech living on the big plays

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- This is what makes Georgia Tech so dangerous: its big-play capabilities. And while safety Corey Mosley was able to defend receiver Demaryius Thomas downfield the first time, Paul Johnson dared to call it again late in the second quarter, and it paid off, as the next play was a 51-yard pass to Thomas for a first down at Virginia's 16-yard line. Virginia's defense has played a respectable game so far, especially without defensive end Matt Conrath, but that's where Josh Nesbitt has made his biggest improvement this year -- in the passing game. He doesn't do it a lot, but when he does, he's effective.
