Virginia Tech has agreed to a home-and-home series with Purdue starting in 2015, the schools announced Thursday.
The Hokies will travel to West Lafayette, Ind., to play Sept. 19, 2015. Purdue will make the trip to Blacksburg, Va., on Sept. 9, 2023. Virginia Tech's game against East Carolina in 2015, originally announced for Sept. 19, has been moved to Sept. 26 and remains in Blacksburg.
“This is another opportunity for Virginia Tech to play a Big Ten series and we’re looking forward to the games,” Virginia Tech athletic director Jim Weaver said in a statement.
In addition to Purdue, Virginia Tech has added several other Big Ten teams to its future schedules: Ohio State (2014, 2015), Wisconsin (2019, 2020), Michigan (2020, 2021) and Penn State (2022, 2023).
