NFL combine begins in Indy

The annual NFL scouting combine begins Wednesday in Indianapolis, with 335 prospects working out at Lucas Oil Stadium for NFL scouts.

You can find this week's entire schedule here, but today's events focus on kickers, offensive linemen, tight ends, orientation, interviews and medical exams and X-rays. You can find the full list of attendees here and the ACC representatives here.

For those of you who have come down hard on former Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas, Mel Kiper Jr. has him listed as No. 8 on his list of top 10 draft-eligible quarterbacks. Thomas is the only ACC quarterback on that list. Here's an excerpt of what Steve Muench of Scouts Inc. had to say about Thomas:

"He is a [Colin] Kaepernick type in that he's very athletic and has a great arm. But in his case, there are questions about his accuracy, footwork and decision-making. I was at the Senior Bowl and the team sitting behind us was saying they would love to draft him and rebuild."

As far as the ACC's top prospects go, Todd McShay has Clemson's Sammy Watkins and FSU's Timmy Jernigan among his top six, and UNC tight end Eric Ebron, Florida State's Lamarcus Joyner, Virginia's Morgan Moses, and Pitt's Aaron Donald are all in his top 32. The Scouts Inc. crew is also keeping an eye on Clemson's Bashaud Breeland. Continue to check the draft blog and our NFL draft section for complete coverage throughout the week.
