Three ACC players named All-America

The Football Writers Association of America announced its All-America team, and three ACC players made the cut -- Clemson safety DeAndre McDaniel, Clemson specialist C.J. Spiller, and Florida State offensive lineman Rodney Hudson.

Full disclosure -- I'm on this committee, and I voted for these guys, and nominated a few others from the conference. There were two, two-hour calls -- one for offense and one for defense -- to pick these teams, and there were a lot of tough decisions and outstanding players to choose from. The one other player I voted for who didn't make the cut was Georgia Tech defensive end Derrick Morgan. There's no question he deserves to be on this team. But so do the players who did make it. Congrats to all of them.
