No need to panic over Harris' thumb

I've been told by a school spokesman at Miami that the injury to quarterback Jacory Harris' thumb isn't causing any state of panic in the football building. Think Big Ben, Kyle Wright. Miami's starting quarterback in 2006 missed four games for a broken thumb, which equals about the month that Harris is expected to miss. Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers also suffered a similar injury.

It could actually be a blessing in disguise, as this will give backup A.J. Highsmith some much needed work this offseason.

Harris isn't a rookie anymore. He shouldn't miss a beat.
