Johnson reserved on games in Georgia Dome

Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson kept his comments reserved on Monday when asked about his ACC opponents who are starting to make a habit of playing preseason games in the Georgia Dome.

First it was Clemson. Next it will be Virginia Tech -- an announcement Johnson found out about only after reading it in the paper.

If that's what you call a friendship with the Atlantic Sports Council, these guys might want to start working on their communication skills.

It sounds like they'll be talking about it. Johnson shouldn't have to be the one who initiates dialogue. A little warning would have been nice on the agreement with the Hokies.

"I think that that's something that needs to be discussed," Johnson said. "I found out when I saw it in the paper."

Playing a game in the Georgia Dome is bound to help those teams recruit out of Johnson's backyard.

Said Johnson: "It couldn't hurt 'em."
