Report: BC loses top recruit

Joe Boisture, a highly touted quarterback who was expected by some to be the future face of the Boston College offense, has switched his commitment to Michigan State, according to a report by Foxsports.com. Boisture is an ESPNU 150 watch list player.

It makes sense, as BC recently landed 25-year-old Dave Shinskie, who has four years of eligibility, and Boisture is a Michigan native and the grandson of the late Dan Boisture, who was once the head coach at Eastern Michigan.

The Eagles still have two other ESPNU 150 watchlist players on their commitment list, but Joshua Bordner is the only other quarterback. Who knows how Shinksie will fare this fall -- he hasn't thrown a pass in a college game or played in six years -- but he just became even more valuable.
