CBS Sports analyst Charley Cassely leaned on some of his contacts and discovered New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's rebuilt left knee no longer is infected, putting Brady on schedule to be ready for the start of 2009.
Casserly, the former Washington Redskins and Houston Texans general managers, reported Brady's update Sunday on "NFL Today."
"Good news for the New England Patriots and Tom Brady," Casserly said. "He's off antibiotics. The infection he had when he had the repair of his knee when he had the ACL is gone. Therefore he's back on his rehab schedule and should be ready for training camp and the season next year."
