Bills scratch Lynch from gusty game

Wind gusts of 75 mph have been causing havoc in Ralph Wilson Stadium, twisting the goal posts and altering the trajectory of passes during pregame warm-ups for Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills.

Sounds like the perfect afternoon to run the ball.

That's great news for the Patriots. The Bills have scratched running back Marshawn Lynch and Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters from the lineup. Fred Jackson will start at running back. Xavier Omon will be his backup.

Also out for the Bills are receiver and dangerous return man Roscoe Parrish and left cornerback Jabari Greer.

Notable deactivated Patriots include linebacker Tedy Bruschi and defensive end Richard Seymour.
