Getting coached up at ESPN

ESPN has summoned me to the corporate headquarters in Bristol, Conn., for seminars and workshops that should get my brain humming at a Commodore 64 level. I'm pretty excited about the upgrade.

Since I will be huddled in meeting rooms, posts on the AFC East blog will be sporadic for the rest of the week. But there will be reasons to keep coming around.

My regular proxy, Scouts Inc. analyst Matt Williamson, will have a take on second-year starting quarterback Chad Henne that Dolfans will love to read.

My intention is to post quick items during breaks and hopefully collect some info from experts and insiders strolling the campus. I will provide updates on whether Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd claimed the NFL defensive rookie of the year award, which is being re-voted upon in the aftermath of the Brian Cushing suspension.

Also keep an eye out for Stock Watch in its usual Thursday time slot, videos, podcasts and other ESPN.com items as they arise.
