Florence deal means Bills likely done with Greer

The Buffalo Bills probably have run out of time waiting for Jabari Greer.

The Bills have signed cornerback Drayton Florence to a two-year, $6.6 million contract that can be worth $7.3 million with incentives.

That's bad news for Greer, who had an offer on the table from the Bills, but has been taking a tour of other interested clubs.

Florence played in 15 games last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, starting eight. He made 26 tackles with zero interceptions.

He spent the previous five seasons with the San Diego Chargers. He snagged 10 interceptions and started 38 games in his last three seasons there.

Florence will help the Bills bridge the gap from Greer to Leodis McKelvin. The No. 11 draft pick last year possesses an abundance of raw ability, but the Bills aren't quite ready to entrust the right cornerback job to him.
