Jets extend D'Brickashaw Ferguson

The New York Jets have extended the contract of left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson, a league source confirmed to ESPN.com's Tim Graham.

The terms of the deal have not been announced, but ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting it's a six-year, $60 million extension that includes $34.8 million in guaranteed money -- the most guaranteed money ever for an offensive lineman. Ferguson, the Jets first-round draft choice in 2006, was a Pro Bowler last season.
