For a story about Cincinnati Bengals receivers Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens, USA Today quoted ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson asking the rhetorical question "What team has two receivers as good as these guys?"
ESPN's "First Take" debated those duos Friday morning.
Skip Bayless scoffed at Johnson's proclamation, but while stating his case about Owens being far beyond his prime, Bayless reached a little too much. Bayless tried to short-circuit the argument that Owens was done in by poor quarterback play with the Buffalo Bills by mentioning how good Trent Edwards looked in Thursday night's exhibition.
Michael Smith argues Moss and Welker might be better in the Patriots system, but says "in a vacuum" Ochocinco and Owens are the better pair.
Bayless, incredulous, goes a step further by saying he'd rather have Miami Dolphins receivers Brandon Marshall and Davone Bess or New York Jets receivers Santonio Holmes and Jerricho Cotchery ahead of Ochocinco and Owens.
