FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Count New England Patriots linebacker Adalius Thomas among those who are disappointed the spat between New York Jets coach Rex Ryan and Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder apparently has reached a cease-fire.
"It was funny," Thomas said after Thursday's minicamp session on practice fields outside Gillette Stadium. "It's Rex."
Thomas was asked if he was tempted to join in the merriment. Thomas declined to fire a bullet, but in the process bolstered Ryan's zinger that nobody knows who Crowder is.
"That's between him and Crowder, or whatever the guy's name is," Thomas said. "Whatever they have to say to each other, let them beat each other up or meet in the parking lot with their uncles or daddies, all that good stuff.
"It's a sense of humor. It's something you don't normally see in the media in June. It's something you guys really jump all over and go from New York to Miami and then come here with it and expect me to pour gas on it. No thank you."
Actually, I went from Miami Beach to Buffalo and then to Foxborough. I'll be back at the Dolphins' complex Saturday. Just for the record.
