Buffalo Bills defensive end Aaron Maybin is the AFC East's only first-round draft choice not under contract.
An unnamed NFL source informed Palm Beach Post reporter Edgar Thompson that the Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms on a five-year contract with cornerback Vontae Davis, the 25th overall selection.
The New York Jets signed quarterback Mark Sanchez (fifth overall) long ago. The Bills signed guard Eric Wood (28th overall) this week. The New England Patriots traded out of the first round.
The Dolphins still need to sign second-round quarterback Pat White and fifth-round safety Chris Clemons. Thompson noted both should be locked up before training camp opens Sunday in Davie, Fla.
The Patriots also have one loose end, third-round outside linebacker Tyrone McKenzie, who is out for the season with a knee injury suffered at rookie minicamp.
But Maybin is the most significant and could be problematic, as we discussed in this blog entry Wednesday.
