AFC South raconteur Paul Kuharsky posted a staggering item on his blog Thursday that shows the Jacksonville Jaguars' offense has recorded only nine three-and-out possessions this year.
That's remarkable, but it becomes even more impressive when you consider the New England Patriots, despite being the NFL's highest-scoring team, have two and a half times as many.
And even more astonishing yet is the Miami Dolphins' offense. Mostly known for its inability to get into the end zone, Miami has 24 three-and-out possessions, tied for fifth in the league and one fewer than New England.
As you can see in the chart below, Jacksonville is only team with fewer than 23 three-and-outs, according to data from the Elias Sports Bureau.
The AFC East is the next most efficient at moving the chains with 115.
